So we have workmen installing a Split system AC today so I did the reasonable thing… I went quilt shop crawling!

My main stop was to Quilted Twins in Dade City. This place is so much fun! Rooms and rooms of fabric of every description!

All but the rainbow prints came from there. I’ll show you the panels in another pic. The smaller folds are 1/2 yard, the larger folds are 1 yard and the package is 2.5 inch strips.
This is the Call of The Wild – Bison panel I bought. Gawd I love this so much. I dont’ even know what I want to do with it yet. I was on the fence about buying it now when I saw the bunny. He said I have to get it. You just don’t argue with bunnies.
I don’t know if I ever realized what a ‘thing’ I have for peacocks. This is one of the fabric panels I bought at QT and some fabrics in 1/2 and 1 yard cuts that work really well with it. They will join the collection of Kaffe peacock color prints I already had in stash. Seriously, this needs to turn in to a quilt before I hurt myself.
The Creative Grids Storm At Sea ruler. I decided recently that I’d like to make this as a quilt and I really like the method used with this ruler. Wouldn’t you know the ruler is not produced anymore!! But I remembered that I saw this one hanging at the counter…..

My Next stop was Scrap N Sew. I love this quilt shop. It’s the smaller high quality type of shop a quilter can just dream in. Tons of notions and of course Pfaff sewing machines. And they had one particular find…

I also bought three rainbow prints that I just couldn’t resist. The 1 yard cut and the first 2 flower prints came from S&S, the others from QT.
The notions came from good ole JoAnne’s cause they have a good sale on at the moment.

I needed
-a larger cutting mat,
-more clips (who doesn’t?)
-this cool bias tape – yeah, they are accurate inches!,
-Applique pins with white heads. I’ve never seen those before. Was I under a rock or what?
-White fabric markers. I am FOREVER on a mission to find a decent white marker!!

And a new iron.. or two. The girls on the EPP list seemed to agree that Black & Decker Irons seem to last longer than the 3 mos my last iron did, so we’ll see how this one does. I figured for $10 the small one was worth a shot for the simple seam pressing I do so often.
